"Common Ground" International Symposium, Spike Island Artspace, Bristol, England, 98

The floor is covered by paving slabs providing the wobbly way of walking. In the centres of walls there are compasses which orientate the space and at the same time  make it close and self-referential. The directions of painted lines are given by compass needles.

In the middle of the room there is a weight hanging on a rubber string form the roof-window /the only source of light.

Lines on the walls and the rubber string have been marked with 1 meter distances -in case of the rubber string they are influenced by weight/gravity.

The brass weight is hanging above a strong lens with mirror embedded within the central paving slab.

One of the paving slabs was broken and reconstructed with plaster in which there is a footprint .
